No ice, no problem for school’s hockey club

SPICEWOOD — The Highland Lakes don’t freeze over, even in the coldest Central Texas winters, but that hasn’t stopped Spicewood Elementary School students from chasing a puck or two.
"It’s a fast game," said fifth-grader Jack Zamarippa. "I really love taking a shot at the goal."
The Spicewood Elementary School Hockey Club began its third year this season under guidance of fifth-grade teacher Brad Houser. While the sport the club plays is of the floor-hockey variety in the gymnasium at the 1005 Spur 191 campus, the students attack it as if it were its icy cousin.
