Lou Emma Lakey England, 89, of Meadowlakes, died Nov. 5, 2011.

Born March 31, 1922, in McCurtain, Okla., she was the daughter of John and Ruth (McClinton) Lakey.

She was a member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 201 RR 1431 in Marble Falls.

She lived a life of joy and laughter. She loved family gatherings, watching old movies, playing bridge and traveling the world. She touched the lives of many people with her smile and her sweet gentle spirit.

Survivors include brother Leonard of Tulsa, Okla.; children Larry England of Arlington; daughter Joyce Stewart of Dripping Springs; grandchildren Kari Stewart, Keith Stewart and Lauren Korink; in-laws Lewis Stewart, Mary Taylor, Suzy Freeman and Dan Monk; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Owen D. England; three brothers; and a sister.

A family visitation is 5-7 p.m. Nov. 8 Edgar Funeral Home, 2105 U.S. 281 North in Marble Falls, (830) 693-5808.

She will be laid to rest next to her husband at a private interment service.

Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service noon Nov. 9 at St. Andrew.
