Lady Mustangs lose to Dripping Springs

MARBLE FALLS — The Marble Falls High School volleyball team took Dripping Springs to five sets Oct. 21 before falling to the Lady Tigers. It marked the first five-set match for the Lady Mustangs in District 25-4A this season.
Marble Falls closes the regular season Oct. 25 with a road match at Leander Rouse.
TOP PLAYERS: Kiara Etheridge, 14 kills; Hayley Fishbeck, 12 kills; and Stephanie Garcia, 40 digs.
ON OFFENSE: Taylor Koska and Haley Coulter, 14 assists each; and Taylor Koska, 3 aces.
ON DEFENSE: Jessica Winn, 4 blocks; Catie Whitecotton, 3 blocks; and Hayley Fishbeck 31 digs.
SAY WHAT? “As they move to their final match, I can only say how proud of these athletes I am. A lesser group of individuals may have conceded the loss and played a mediocre game, but we fought tough and played with pride to the final point, the very final game,” head coach Julie Downs said.
