Ruffen Barefoot
Ruffen Barefoot, 56, died Oct. 10, 2011. He was born in Crane on Jan. 31, 1955, to W.R. and Nell Barefoot.
In 1973, he graduated from Stanton County High School in Johnson, Kan., and then graduated from Amarillo College. He spent several years working in Amarillo, and then moved to Austin, where he started his business Barefoot Boatworks in Spicewood.
He enjoyed fishing, boating, driving demolition derby, motorcycle riding, skiing and the outdoors.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his mother Nell Forman and stepfather Chuck Forman of Valley Spring; sister Debi Scott and husband Lynn of Johnson, Kan.; nephews Matt Scott and family of Shattuck, Okla., and Chantry Scott and family of Johnson, Kan.
He was preceded in death by his father and sister Darnell Barefoot.
A service is 2 p.m. Oct. 15 at Pedernales River Fellowship Church, 22800 Texas 71 West in Spicewood.
