Marble Falls Chamber appoints Hatfield as interim director
MARBLE FALLS — The Marble Falls/Lake LBJ Chamber of Commerce recently appointed Jan Hatfield as interim executive director.
Meanwhile, the search for a permanent Chamber director continues after Christian Fletcher stepped down Aug. 31 to head up the Economic Development Corp. as its executive director.
“I am very excited,” Hatfield said Oct. 10. “I am looking forward to getting involved.”
Prior to her arrival in Marble Falls two years ago, she was the business and community development director in Lakewood Ranch, Fla.
Her husband Craig Hatfield is the marketing manager for Mustang Equipment in Marble Falls.
The Chamber board heard from 29 “quality applicants” before members chose Hatfield, said President Mark Hodges.
Hatfield plans to apply for the permanent executive directorship, she said.
“I will certainly put my name in the hat and go for that position,” she added.
Fletcher served as the Chamber’s executive director since April 2006.
“With Christian still in the community — it is going to be a great partnership (between the Chamber and the EDC),” Hatfield said.
