MARBLE FALLS — Two teams coming off losses to finish out their predistrict schedules will meet Sept. 30 for the start of the District 4-2A race of the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools.

Faith Academy (3-2) and Kerrville Our Lady of the Hills (4-1) were picked to make the playoffs this season, and so far each has played well. The game will be played at OLH’s campus, 235 Peterson Farm Road in Kerrville, at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 30.

Our Lady of the Hills was picked to finish second in District 4-2A behind defending state champion Bulverde Bracken and before Faith Academy.

The Hawks are led by dual-threat athlete Marshall Walker (6-9-119-0-1, 15-258-5). Tailback Eli Reyna (7-117-1) handles much of the rushing game, while receivers Leo Salinas (4-83) and Ben Gregory (3-37-2) have been reliable in the passing game.

“They have an excellent tailback (Walker), who’s their best offensive player and defensive player,” Roberts said. “We have to be able to neutralize him, we have to be able to tackle him, we have to be able to control him, and we have to be able to not allow him to stop us.”
