DRIPPING SPRINGS — The Marble Falls High School volleyball team lost to Dripping Springs 22-25, 13-25, 13-25 on Sept. 27.

Head coach Julie Downs said she was pleased with the effort of her team.

“Although the Lady Mustangs (15-14, 1-3) fought hard and hustled each play, we were not able to conquer the very tough serving of Dripping Springs,” she said. “Once serve was dug and the ball was in play on the Mustang side of the court, we were able to effectively kill and score. However, the serve-receive game was our weakness.”

Junior hitter Shelby Green finished with 20 kills to lead all hitters.

“We also knew that their primary hitter had racked up 27 kills in the their losing match against (Leander) Rouse and found her a tough opponent to stop,” Downs said.
