Vivian ‘Feetie’ Stiglets Null

Vivian “Feetie” Stiglets Null, 90, of Smithville and formally of Burnet, died Sept. 21, 2011, at a Smithville nursing home. She was born in Pascagoula, Miss., on Jan. 12, 1921, to H.J. and Madge Stiglets.
She worked many years as a civil service employee at Darnell Army Hospital at Fort Hood and was a volunteer worker in the gift shop at the hospital in Burnet. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Burnet and was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was an Army wife and travelled the world with her five children, all born in different locations, including one in Salzburg, Austria. After retirement, she continued to travel the United States with friends and family.
She was a wonderful, caring person, and a fantastic mother, mother-in-law and grandmother who left a positive lasting impression on everyone in her life.
Survivors include her children James Cecil Null Jr. and wife Billie of Smithville, Gary Warren Null and wife Kay of Elgin, Kenneth Lee Null and wife Linda of Lampasas, Mike Null of Austin and Luanne Newton and husband Kim of Burnet; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband James Cecil Null Sr.; brother H.J. Stiglets Jr.; and sister Julia Mae Stiglets Clark.
A service is 10 a.m. Sept. 24 at the Edgar Funeral Home Chapel, 109 N. Main St. in Burnet, (512) 756-4444. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Smithville. Pallbearers will be Joey McCormick, Greg Caldwell, Scott Null, Alan Newton, Brian Null, Keith Null and T.J. Wright.
