Dorothy Lee Ivey Jones, 85, of Llano died Sept. 18, 2011. She was born March 8, 1926, in Dallas to Clara (Richey) Ivey and Emil Howell Ivey.

She was married to Master Sgt. Russell T. Jones on April 10, 1943, in Medford, Oregon. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and the First Christian Church in Llano.

Survivors include children Jeanette Lewis and husband Glenn, and Towanna Gray and husband J.D., all of Llano, Russell “Bo” Jones of Glen Rose, and Deborah Connors and husband Mike of San Saba; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; cousin Norma Marlow and husband Bernie of Livingston; and brother-In-law Steve Maywald of Tomball.

Preceding her in death was her husband in 1985; parents; and sister Doris Maywald in 2004.

A graveside service is 11 a.m. Sept. 21 at the Llano City Cemetery with the Rev. Gerald Moore officiating.

Honorary pallbearers include Eric Thompson, Eric Watson, Dwight Shafer, Codey Lewis, Jack Maywald, Steve “Scooter” Maywald, J.B. Jones and Zacky Jones.

Memorials can go to Family Fund at the First Christian Church in Llano, 1105 Oatman St., Llano, TX 78643.
