Alfreda D. Castro
Alfreda D. Castro, 90, of Llano died Aug. 8, 2011. She was born in Manchester, N.H., on March 19, 1921, to Eddie and Florence Maple.
She married F. Richard Castro.
Survivors include son Richard Castro and wife Jane of Llano; daughter Deanna Parisher and husband Rick of Cherokee; grandchildren Vince Castro, Gidget Castro, Allen Parisher, Gary Parisher, Brandon Castro, Kristine Deats, Kim Beesley, Lee Beesley, Matt Ribera, Felicia Blum and Monica McKinnon; and great-grandchildren Krystain Castro, Kaytlin Castro, Karsyn Castro, Ciarra Deats, Zachary Beesley, Zacharia Castro, Trinity Blum, Isabella Blum, Torrance Parisher, Briana Parisher, Jonathan Parisher, Nathaniel Parisher and Ryley Parisher.
She was preceded in death by her husband; sons Walter “Peanut” Castro and Robert Joe Castro; and sister Katherine Maple.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Aug. 10 at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home, 307 E. Sandstone in Llano, (325) 247-4300. A graveside service is 10 a.m. Aug. 11 at Llano City Cemetery with the Rev. Elliot Pancoast officiating.
Honorary pallbearers are Brandon Castro, Gary Parisher, Allen Parisher, Matt Ribera, Vince Castro and Lee Beesley.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Llano Food Pantry and Meals on Wheels.
