MFalls bronco all-star team eager for playoffs

MARBLE FALLS — The Marble Falls bronco all-star baseball team has been practicing for two weeks in anticipation of the sectional tournament, which starts Sunday at Childers Fields on the corner of Broadway at Avenue N.

Marble Falls will face Oak Hill Green at 2:30 p.m. The winner will meet Oak Hill Red 8:30 p.m. Monday. The loser will play at 6:15 p.m. Monday against the loser of the NAO-Hays Jets.

Marble Falls will take momentum into the sectional tournament thanks to winning the Hays Sandlot Tournament June 10-12.

Marble Falls defeated the San Marcos Rattlers 13-8 in the championship game for the 12-and-under league June 12.

The pitching staff included T.J. Stephenson, Lane Travis, Kenny Ulbricht, Dylan Petrosky and Trey Rodriguez.

Marble Falls scored 38 runs in three games.
