Mustangs look to qualify for 7-on-7 state tourney
MARBLE FALLS — The Marble Falls High School 7-on-7 team still has hopes of qualifying for the state tournament in July.
The Mustangs will have their next opportunity June 25 at Hays Consolidated High School.
It won’t be easy. Marble Falls will have to win pool B by beating Lake Travis, Elgin and Austin Bowie. Twelve other teams make up the remaining three pools.
Pool winners will meet in a single-elimination bracket.
Coach Jerry Watson said he believes the Mustangs will have to reach the championship game to earn the qualifying bid.
