Peggy R. Kolb
Peggy R. Kolb, 88, of Kingsland and Wimberley, died May 28, 2011. She was born in Dallas on Sept. 24, 1922, to Ed Jackson and Maud Burkleo Reames.
She had worked all her life as a homemaker and loving mother. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Wimberley and attended Kingsland Community Church while in Kingsland. She was an avid quilter, making quilts for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a pregnancy center, African missions and neighbors. She also enjoyed garage sales.
Survivors include her daughters Maudie and husband Jim Templeton and Velma Edwards, all of Wimberley, Linda and husband Eric Schultz of Austin and Dee Anna and husband Gary Bishop of Texas; sons Rick Kolb of Kingsland and Wayne Kolb of Texas; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild on the way.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Lee Kolb; and daughter Hazel Lorene Greathouse.
A graveside service is 2 p.m. June 1 at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park, 4219 Park Road 4 South in Burnet with burial following.
