Elsie Lois Hopkins

Elsie Lois Hopkins, 79, of Kingsland died May 27, 2011. She was born in San Antonio on Sept. 19, 1931, to Lewis Auburn and Lennie Meggs.
She loved life and her retirement years in Kingsland with her husband. She loved spending her summers in Ruidoso, N.M. She enjoyed attending the horse races as well as playing the slots at the casinos.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years James Dor Hopkins of Kingsland; son Jonathan Lewis Hopkins; daughter-in-law Davi Richards; grandchildren Cameron Alex and Alexis Faye Hopkins; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A service is 2 p.m. May 31 at Putnam Funeral Home, 145 Texas Ave. in Kingsland, (325) 388-0008, with the Rev. Harold Conaway officiating.
Burial will follow at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park, 4219 Park Road 4 South in Burnet.
Pallbearers are Bruce Stevenson, Alan Blomgren, Jonathan Hopkins, Gary Woitena, Mark Pack and Cameron Hopkins.
