Elmer “Pat” Tippie
Elmer “Pat” Tippie, 74, of Burnet died May 18, 2011. He was born in Burnet on Jan. 1, 1937, to LaRue and Cleo Schillings Tippie.
He worked with his father for many years in construction. He then worked for Lone Star Quarry, the Pedernales Electric Cooperative and H-E-B as a maintenance mechanic until his retirement.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Alice; sons Michael Tippie and wife Chrisie and Russell Tippie and wife Rose Mary, all of Burnet; daughter Mikki Joy and husband Stacy of Burnet; grandchildren Michele, Emilee, Caleb, Hannah, Zakk, Matthew and Michael; great-grandchildren Logan and Lane; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Nelda Jane Tippie.
A service is 2 p.m. May 20 at Edgar Funeral Home, 109 N. Main St. in Burnet, (512) 756-4444. Interment will follow in Burnet City Cemetery.
