Rilla Francis Terry Mahoney
Rilla Francis Terry Mahoney, 78, of Burnet died May 15, 2011. She was born in Clyde on Dec. 12, 1932.
She married James John Mahoney on April 14, 1951, and worked as a minister’s wife at Valley Grove Baptist Church in Stephenville and Elmdale Baptist Church in Elmdale.
She served the people of Taylor County as the district clerk from 1981 to 1993. In May 1993, she received the Liberty Bell Award for community service from the Abilene Young Lawyers Association.
Survivors include her children David and Cindy Mahoney of Hutto, Cathy and Jim Smith of Forth Worth and Becky and Duane Fox of Horseshoe Bay; grandchildren Lindie Hart, Laurie Brown, Marissa Mahoney and Nicholas Mahoney; great-grandchildren Harrison and Catherine Hart, and Blake and Miles Brown; and brother H.B. Terry.
She was preceded in death by her husband on March 12.

Visitation is 5-7 p.m. May 18 at Baily-Howard Funeral Home, 105 Oaks St. in Clyde. A service is 2 p.m. May 19 at Elmdale Baptist Church, 233 S. Elmdale Road in Elmdale.
