Suzanne Chidester Johnson
Suzanne Chidester Johnson, 62, of Burnet, died April 9, 2011.
She was born in Paris, Texas, on June 6, 1948, to Fairy and William Chidester.
She was the oldest of three girls and graduated from Dumas High School. Her father died when she was young. Her mother later married Gerald “Pa Pa” Moore.
After graduation, she moved to Amarillo and worked at The First National Bank of Amarillo. There she met Cary Johnson and they married Dec. 23, 1967.
She became a loving wife and mother, the matriarch of a happy family that included three children.
In 1981, the family moved from the Texas Panhandle to Burnet. She always maintained a warm and loving home and attended countless drill-team competitions, football games and other school-related events. She took enormous pride in her family.
After her children moved away, she enjoyed sharing her incredible tastes in fashion with other ladies in the community through her association with Suzy Q’s Boutique in Burnet.
In addition to doting on her nine grandchildren, she enjoyed traveling, spending time with friends, shopping and defying normal statistical outcomes by winning at slot machines.
She leaves an incredible legacy of love. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her husband, son Jack and wife Deanna; daughters Jessica and husband Kyle Lindsey, and Cari Anne and husband Charlie Whitehead; grandchildren Mackenzie, Trevor, Walker, Reagan, Johnson, Lane, and triplets Jess, Whitney and Wesley; her mother; and sisters Jeannie Euthon and Jodi Potts.
