Barbara Jones Bell, 82, of Marble Falls died April 3, 2011, at Granite Mesa Health Center. She was born in Wichita Falls on Feb. 14, 1929, to Ben and Carrie Burton Jones.

She was a member of the Phi Beta Phi sorority at the University of Texas in Austin and was an avid bridge player. She also was active in state politics and conducted George W. Bush’s first Senate race. She previously was married to Dr. J.T. Krueger Jr.

Survivors include daughter Carolyn Garvie of Horseshoe Bay; son Ben Krueger and wife Peggy of Argyle; seven grandchildren; seven nieces and nephews; and sister Bennie Jo Rancik of El Paso.

She was preceded in death by her husband John Bell, son J.T. Krueger III and sister Nancy Boatman.

A graveside service is 11 a.m. April 6 at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park on Park Road 4 in Burnet with the Rev. David Sugeno officiating.
