Marilyn Hamor, 79, of Spicewood died March 19, 2011, in Kingsland.

Born July 15, 1931, in Houston, she was the daughter of Bernie and Erma (Brash) Mounts.

She spent many years serving others as a clinical social worker in Houston and in Austin. Most recently she was the clinical social worker for the Seton Hospital Heart Transplant program until she retired in 1999.

She moved to Central Texas in 1993 and had lived in Spicewood since 1999. She served at Holy Communion Church in Spicewood since 1999 as a special assistant to the pastor.

Survivors include her son Tommy and wife Diana of Sugar Land; daughter Anne McAllister of Austin; sister Margie and husband Bill McCormick of New Braunfels; grandchildren Jason, Katy, Daniel, Dawn, Lindsey and Colin; and numerous nephews and nieces.

A memorial service is 10 a.m. April 2 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 1805 U.S. 281 North in Marble Falls, (830) 693-4373.
