Tommie L. Barnhill
Tommie Lyndon Barnhill, 54, of Brownwood died March 8, 2011. He was born in Burnet on June 2, 1956, to Fred W. and Ruby Lee (Montgomery) Barnhill.
He attended Marble Falls High School and served in the Army. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was a family-oriented man who loved hunting, fishing and country music. He loved to compose songs and play the guitar — a talent he shared with many of his nieces and nephews.
Survivors include son Tommy Ray Barnhill and wife Darla; grandson Jesse Ray Barnhill; granddaughter Mikaela Mae of Burnet; sisters Linda Fay Cochran and husband Phillip of Brownwood and Rhonda Kay Barnhill and brother-in-law Don Crider of Marble Falls; brothers Fred D. Barnhill and wife Doris of Brownwood, Jerry Barnhill and wife Carolyn of Wyoming, Johnny Barnhill and wife Linda of Marble Falls and Terry Barnhill and wife Debbie of Colorado; sister-in-law Cindy Goins and husband Gary of Brownwood; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandmother Emma Williamson.
Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. March 10 at Netherton Funeral Home, 1412 Belle Plain in Brownwood, (325) 646-9000.
A graveside service is 1 p.m. March 12 at the Marble Falls City Cemetery with Tim Boykin officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of the funeral home.
