BURNET — Earlier this month, the Burnet County Commissioners Court revised rural subdivision regulations to gain more control of water and wastewater development.

Still, there’s plenty of work ahead so long as the Legislature keeps a tight rein on just how much land-use authority county governments have, including regulating the size of buildings and neighborhoods, officials said.
