Marjorie Nell Fillpot Cox
Marjorie Nell Fillpot Cox, 88, died Feb. 23, 2011.
She was born Jan. 6, 1923, in Dodson to John William and Carrie Blanche Weaver Fillpot.
She spent most of her life in Levelland and Burnet. She loved life. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to cook.
Many people traveled far to eat at several restaurants in Burnet where she cooked for many years.
Survivors include children Sammie Bizzell and Don of Georgetown, Barbara Faris and husband Bud and Cheryl Cox Howell, all of Burnet, and Joe Cox and Vicki of Evanston, Wyo.; sisters Sue Duncan of Baytown, and Billie Lawson, Jo Cox and J.D., all of Burnet, and Glenna Bowden of Lampasas; brother Kenneth Fillpot and Martha of Weatherford; grandchildren Kendall Bizzell and Hyla, and Kayla Smith and George, all of Georgetown, Russell Cox of Evanston, Wyo., Logan Faris and Kim of Mckinney, Jana Salinas and Jeff of Friendswood, Chris Faris and Sue Ellen, Travis Faris, Holly Faris, Jolee Cox, Jason Howell and Kim, and Josh Howell, all of Burnet; and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband: parents; and sister Eula Mae Brock.
Visitation was Feb. 25 at Edgar Funeral Home, 109 N. Main St. in Burnet, (512) 756-4444.
Services were Feb. 26 at the Vanderveer Street Church of Christ with Tim Denton officiating.
Interment followed in the Bethel Cemetery in Burnet County.
