Willie Earlene (Brown) Gunter
Willie Earlene (Brown) Gunter, 83, of La Grange and formerly of Burnet, died Feb. 18, 2011, at St. Mark’s Medical Center in La Grange. She was born in Eastland on Nov. 26, 1927, to Thomas and Abbie Pearl (Smith) Brown.
She married Bedney William Gunter on June 7, 1961, in Wichita Falls.
Survivors include her daughter Darlene Runnels and husband Robert of Burnet; son William “Butch” Gunter of Burnet; grandchildren Desa Hinds, Amanda White, Denver Hinds, William, Kristenann, and Thomas Gunter and Devin Runnels; seven great-grandchildren; son-in-law Daryl Hinds and special friend Julia Petzold.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2002; parents; and daughter Ruby Pearlene Hinds.
Visitation is 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Feb. 21 at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home, 208 W. Pearl in La Grange.
A service is 2 p.m. Feb. 22 at the funeral home. Burial is 2 p.m. Feb. 23 at Oakwood Cemetery in Cisco.
