Jimmie Dale Denniston, 73, of Marble Falls died Feb. 12, 2011. He was born Dec. 24, 1937, in Kalamazoo, Mich., to Edward R. and Minnie J. Larkin Denniston.

He and his wife Jewel had lived in Marble Falls since December 1976. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church and operated the riding stable at Horseshoe Bay.

In addition to his wife of Marble Falls, survivors include daughter Terri Y. Wolthuis of Mountain Grove, Mo.;  stepsons Wilburn Brooks and wife Cora of Kingsland, Jimmy Brooks and wife Pam of Mernard, Larry G. Brooks and wife Susie of Weatherford, and Royce Brooks of Marble Falls; sister Betty Findley of Holt, Mich.; 20  grandchildren; 28 great-grandchchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie L. Denniston; daughter Cinda Diane Fry in 1982; and son Jay Edward Denniston in 1993.

A service is 2 p.m. Feb. 15 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home,1805 U.S. 281 North in Marble Falls, (830) 693-4373, with Kenneth Womack and Bob Weis officiating.
