John David Mitchell
John David Mitchell, 86, of Horseshoe Bay died Feb. 2, 2011. He was born in Stockman on June 2, 1924.
He was an electrician with Marathon Oil Co. in Texas City for 38½ years. He was dedicated to the Lord and lived his life according to the Bible.
Survivors include his wife Cordelia Anne Hallmark Mitchell of Horseshoe Bay; sons Johnny Dean Mitchell and wife Susan of Horseshoe Bay, and David Earl Mitchell and wife Patti of Dallas; granddaughters Jennifer and husband Ryan Bessler of East Dethel, Minn., Sarah and husband Mark Ferguson, and Courtney Mitchell, all of Dallas; grandsons Jonathan Mitchell and wife Alison of Los Angeles, and Justin Mitchell of Houston; sisters Velma Roberts and Selma Rutherford, both of Portland, Texas; great-grandchildren Abigail Mitchell, Rose Ferguson, Naomi Ferguson and Josiah Mitchell; brother-in-law Joe Hallmark and wife Brenda of Houston; and sister-in-law Mabeth and husband Ken Coleman of Houston.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jefferson Davis Mitchell and Ada Leona Cotton Green; six sisters; four brothers; and brother-in-law Don Hallmark.
Visitation is 4-6 p.m. Feb. 4 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 1805 U.S. 281 North in Marble Falls, (830) 693-4373.
A graveside service is 2 p.m. Feb. 5 at Forrest Park East in Webster.
