Amanda Baker

Amanda Baker, 64, of Bertram died Feb. 1, 2011, in Georgetown. She was born March 10, 1946, in Roaring Springs to John and Jean Humphrey HoGland.

She worked many years as a representative for Verizon Communications until her retirement and was a longtime member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Ralph Baker; mother Jean HoGland of Maycliff; sisters Letha Carter and Becky Arnold; brothers John HoGland, Bruce HoGland and Frank HoGland; and many good friends.

A service is 11 a.m. Feb. 4 at Edgar Funeral Home, 109 N. Main St. in Burnet, (512) 756-4444, with Linvel Baker officiating. Interment will follow in Bear Creek Cemetery in Bertram.

Pallbearers include Steve Fry, Danny Floyd, Eddie Balm, Ray Brizzell, Les Ware and David Floyd.
