William Resnick
William Resnick, 86, died Jan. 10, 2011.
He was born Dec. 16, 1924, in Philadelphia to Fannie (Zimmerman) and Martin Resnick.
He married Mary Firestone Jan. 14, 1995, in Suttercreek, Calif. He was an Army veteran. During his four-year enlistment, he was with the landing regiments of the 1st and 29th Infantry divisions and Army Rangers on Omaha Beach, D-Day plus 2 in Normandy, France.
In addition to his wife, survivors include sons Alan Resnick of Orlando, Fla., and Martin Bar Z’ev of Jerusalem; sister Harriet Drake of Orlando; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Jerry Resnick; and first wife Frances Lillian Hughs.
