Robert Edward Marx Sr.

Robert Edward Marx Sr., 68, of Burnet died Dec. 29, 2010. He was born July 17, 1942, in Burnet to W.E. Marx and Violet (Crawford) Marx. He had retired from the Department of Public Safety, where he worked in the communication field as a tower technician.
He was married to Inez (Jackson) Marx for 51 years and six months.
He liked motorcycles, horses, hunting and road trips to Colorado. He loved his family, especially his wife. He served in the Navy for four years and worked for Frank Smith Trucking for 10 years.
In his spare time he also enjoyed working on autos and motorcycles.
In addition to his wife, survivors include children Annette Golden, Robert Marx Jr. and Kimberly Reynolds; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters Lolagay and Charlotte; and his mother.
He was preceded in death by his father; sister Jackie; and an infant daughter.
A memorial service was Jan. 2 at the Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 306 Texas 29 East in Burnet, (512) 756-2222, with Wende Morren officiating.
