Mary Lee Jobes, 74, of Burnet died Dec. 20, 2010, surrounded by her family. She was born Sept. 25, 1936, to Ed and Ruth Morris Martin in Del Rio.

She was a 1970 graduate of Southwest Texas State University and taught first grade in Del Valle until her retirement.

 

She was a member of Burnet County Sheriff Joe Pollock’s TRIAD group that helped distribute EMS/fire distress call-buttons to those who could not afford one.
She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Burnet for many years.
Survivors include her son Bobby Jobes of Anahuac; daughter Deb Fox of Burnet; cousins David and Beth Parker of Burnet, and Geneva and Jim Parks of Sonora; and her beloved dog Jill-A-Roo.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
