Howard Coleman, 83, died Dec. 15, 2010. He was born Sept. 16, 1927, in San Antonio to Millie Florence (Dyl) and Jesse Howard Coleman. He married Patsy (Stuart) Aug. 11, 1961, in Seguin.

He served as the Llano County judge from 1988-1994 and was a former member of the Kingsland Lions Club.

 

He volunteered for many years as an emergency medical technician with Llano County. He was an engineer with Southwestern Bell Co. for 37 years and a member of the Kingsland Community Church.

Survivors include his wife Patsy Coleman of Kingsland; daughters Nancy Coleman, Paula Sutton and Glennell Coleman, all of Lebanon, Tenn.; grandchildren Tracey, Staci, Lloyd and Summer; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister Nancy Coleman.

Mourners can pay their respects starting 10 a.m. Dec. 19 at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home Chapel, 900 Industrial Blvd. in Kingsland, (325) 388-6767.

A funeral service is 10 a.m. Dec. 20 at the Kingsland Community Church with the Rev. Tommie Beck officiating.

A graveside service follows at 2 p.m. in Mission Park South, 1700 S.E. Military Drive in San Antonio.

Pallbearers include Herschel Martin, Neil Norris, Carl Ramsey, Charlie Bowen, Alan Hicks and Rudy Cunningham. Honorary pallbearers include Terry Barnes, Kevin Andrews and Alan Akers.

The family thanks Seton Highland Lakes Hospice for the special care they provided.
