Thelma Lois (Phillips) Crawford

Thelma Lois (Phillips) Crawford, 87, of Bertram died Dec. 13, 2010. She was born Aug. 23, 1923, in South Texas to Austin Phillips and Bessie Ann (Jackson) Phillips.
She moved to Burnet County to the Turkey Bend area near Smithwick in 1933.
She married Ivan Lee Crawford Oct. 2, 1941, and lived in the Bertram area and Oatmeal until 1949 when they purchased the farm they lived on 31/2 miles west of Bertram off Texas 29.
She was a homemaker, mother and loving wife for more than six decades and was active in the community in her younger years. She will be fondly loved and missed by those left behind.
In addition to her husband of Bertram, survivors include son Ivan Lee Crawford Jr. and wife Bertie Joyce of Hayesville, N.C.; daughter-in-law Niki Genusa of Cedar Park; granddaughter Linda Keillor and husband Andrew of Cedarberg, Wis.; and great-grandsons Cooper and Tucker Keillor.
She was preceded in death by her son Jack Austin Crawford in 2005.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Dec. 15 at the Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 306 Texas 29 East in Burnet, (512) 756-2222.
A funeral service is 2:10 p.m. Dec. 16 at the Oatmeal Church of Christ with Jim Allen officiating.
Burial will follow at Oatmeal Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Bob Crawford, Keith Crawford, Bob Will, Dee Wills, Allen Wills and Junior Wills.
Honorary pallbearers are Denton Wills Sr. and James Ellett.
