Ruth Oleta Shaw
Ruth Oleta Shaw, 76, of Bertram died Dec. 2, 2010. She was born in Bertram Sept. 9, 1934, to Grover and Sally (Barton) Davidson.
She loved life and always had a laugh no matter how sick she was.
Survivors include sons James Wendell Shaw and wife Rachael of Bertram and Robert Davidson Shaw and girlfriend Donna Swiger of Bertram; grandson Joshua Shaw and fiance Misty Ferguson; children Madison and Dylan from Gonzales; granddaughters Anna Williamson and husband Wade from Buchanan Dam, Meghann Wiggins and husband Gary from La Russell, Mo., and Christina Shaw and fiance Nicholas Thoen from Bertram; great-grandchildren Alexis and Malakai Williamson and one on the way; and sisters Dorothy Simmons and Bobbie Warren, both of Houston.
She was preceded in death by husband James Lester Shaw; daughter Leslie Katherine Shaw; parents; and brothers Dick, John Barton and Randall “Tince” Davidson.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Dec. 4 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 306 Texas 29 East in Burnet, (512) 756-2222.
A funeral service is 2 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Victory Baptist Church in Burnet with the Rev. Michael Wiggins officiating.
Pallbearers include Larry Davidson, John Davidson, Roger Davidson, L.O. Pogue, Edward Warren and Grover Davidson.
Joshua Shaw was named as an honorary pallbearer.
