Kathy Sue Bowen
Kathy Sue Bowen, 57, of Burnet died Nov. 24, 2010. She was born Sept. 8, 1953, in Warren, Ohio. She spent most of her childhood growing up in Jupiter, Fla., where she graduated and started her family.
She was an avid sports fan. She enjoyed playing sports, especially softball, but in recent years loved supporting her children, grandchildren and anyone she knew in whatever sport or endeavor she watched.
She also supported her grandson’s activities with the Burnet High School band and helped out with her granddaughter’s Girl Scout Troop. She was proud of her grandchildren and would do anything to support and encourage them.
She also loved her community and would have been the first one in line if possible to buy season tickets to the high school football games.
Survivors include husband James S. Bowen of Burnet; daughter Patti L. Jordan of Burnet; son Michael L. Holcomb of Burnet; stepdaughters Sam Robertson of Linesville, Penn., and Kricket Hodges of Hurricane, W. Va.; granddaughters Tiffany Nicole Hodges, Jessica Marie Wright, Loretta Joyce Hodges, Alexandria Michelle Patterson, Katie Loraine Jordan and Elizabeth Jean Robinson; grandsons Allen Scott Jordan, Jeremy Ryan Jordan, Avery Riddell Holcomb, Jack William Robinson and Aidan James Holcomb; and great-granddaughters Faith Ann Williams and Kelsey Madison Jaczola.
She was preceded in death by parents Howard and Martha Gray; sister Jennie Beck; and first husband Alfred Holcomb.
A memorial service is 1 p.m. Dec. 4 at the First Lutheran Church in Burnet.
