Opal Inez (Ratliff) Holland, 98, died Nov. 6, 2010. She was born June 6, 1912, to Della (Moss) and William Jesse Ratliff in Burnet County.

She married Dea Christian “D.C.” Holland on Nov. 22, 1932. She was a seamstress and began her career more than 50 years ago working for Bill Walkers Cleaners in Llano. She was a lifetime resident of Llano and an active member of First Baptist Church; she enjoyed singing in the church Sanctuary Choir.

Survivors include son J.B. Holland and wife Jackie of Sedalia, Colo.; sister Vernell Franklin of Cedar Park; grandchildren Jack Holland, Shirley Lynn Isham and Meloney Dea Holland; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jan. 1, 1987; her parents; and 11 brothers and sisters.

A visitation is 6-8 p.m. Nov. 9 at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home, 307 E. Sandstone in Llano, (325) 247-4300 .

Services are 10:30 a.m. Nov. 10 at the First Baptist Church, 107 E. Luce St., Llano, with the Rev. Rick Cundieff officiating.

Burial will follow at the Llano City Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Jimmy Tyree, Joel Ratliff, Lynn Hoy, Ronnie Ratliff Jr., Michael Franklin and Samuel Ely Holland.
