Joseph Pierce Dowell

Joseph Pierce Dowell, 56, of Marble Falls died Oct. 22, 2010. He was born Nov. 21, 1953, in Panama City, Panama, to Georgia and Russell Dowell.
During his childhood, he lived in many different places because his father was in the military, but he always said his favorite was Death Valley, Calif.
He went to school and grew up in Killeen, where most of his family still lives. He ended up in Denver, where he met his future wife at the age of 19. They married in 1975.
He spent the last 17 years in the Marble Falls area.
There are no words to explain how much he will be missed. He left a mark on every person he met along the way. He could make you laugh even when you didn’t want to; and was more intelligent than most. When it came to hobbies, he had only one: to be with his family. That brought him more joy than anything in the world.
Survivors include wife Brenda; daughters and sons-in-law Lacritia and Dewayne Barton of Horseshoe Bay, and Jackie Dowell and Shawn Provencal and Amber and Chad McKinnon, all of Marble Falls; son and daughter-in-law Joey Dowell and Kori Limberg of Marble Falls; grandchildren Damaris Veloz, 16, Kiahna Barton, 12, Gavin Maxwell, 10, Nicholas Veloz, 10, Mason Barton, 10, Caden Maxwell, 8, Rayne Provencal, 8, and Emma Maxwell, 6; brothers and sisters-in-law David and Sue Jane Dowell, Jackie Burton and Mary Dowell, Dudley Charles and Sue Mae Dowell, and Dale and Linda Dowell, sister and brother-in-law Pat and Ken Powell; brother-in-law Kevin Graves; sister-in-law Dorothy Dowell; and nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
