Grace Anderson Garrett
Grace Anderson Garrett, 92, of Kingsland and formerly of Bryson and Odessa, died Oct. 4, 2010. She was born to William Henry and Forrest Susan (Adams) Anderson on Jan. 10, 1918, in Kinney.
She married Leonard Blanton Garrett Sept. 10, 1938.
She was a member of the Highland Lakes Baptist Church in Kingsland and the Kings Ladies Sunday School Class. She was a past board director for the Kingsland Senior Center where she loved to play dominos and cards.
Another favorite activity was crocheting and hand-quilting.
Survivors include her children Doyle Wayne Garrett and wife Susie of Odessa, Thomas William Garrett and wife Pat of Thibodeaux, La., and Patricia Rose Ball and husband Claybourn of Kingsland; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Lee Anderson of Graham; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1991; and daughter Ouida Blanche Arnold.
Visitation was Oct. 6 at Putnam Funeral Home & Crematory, 145 Texas Ave. in Kingsland, (325) 388-0008.
A funeral service is 2 p.m. Oct. 7 at the funeral home chapel.
Interment is 11 a.m. Oct. 8 at Cottonwood Cemetery in Bryson.
