Birdie Lee Corcoran

Birdie Lee Corcoran, 86, died Sept. 30, 2010. She was a member of the Altar Society at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in San Antonio, the Harp and Shamrock Society, Military and Civilians Wives Club, Tuesday Dining Out and Oak Hills Homeowners Association.
She enjoyed gardening, traveling the world with her husband in the military and making many trips to visit family in Ireland. She loved playing marathon bridge, bowling and adored her many pets.
She loved to entertain and was best known for her wonderful pastrami parties.
Survivors include children Kathleen Page and husband Jim, Col. Joseph B. Corcoran Jr., and Patrick L. Corcoran and wife Siglinda; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Col. Joseph B. Corcoran.
Visitation is 6 p.m. and rosary will be recited 7 p.m. Oct. 4 in San Antonio at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 4603 Manitou Drive.
A Mass will be celebrated 12:45 p.m. Oct. 5 at St. Luke’s with the Rev. Michael O’Gorman officiating.
Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Sean Page, Joseph B. Corcoran III, Colin Corcoran, Clay Page and Daniel Corcoran.
