Margaret Rose Nelson
Margaret Rose Nelson, 62, of Granite Shoals died Sept. 20, 2010. Born April 28, 1948, in Hobbs, N.M., she was the daughter of Thomas and Dorothy (Booher) West.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed reading and working puzzles. She was an awesome cook and loved to fish.
She was a great “Nana.”
Survivors include daughters B.J. Swartz of Granite Shoals, Latonnia Gripon and husband Greg of Lake City and Kathy Padgett and husband Shanne of Middleburg, Fla.; sons Jimmy Doyle Nelson and wife Diane of Burnet, and Charles Ervin Nelson and wife Donna of Granite Shoals; brother Tommie Joe West of Odessa; sisters-in-law Joyce McGinty, Raynell Atkinson and Cleon Sullivan, all of Burnet, and Carolyn Tyler of Centerville; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Doyle B. Nelson in May 2005; brother Larry Boyd West; and sister Barbara Janette Sharpe.
A funeral service is 2 p.m. Sept. 24 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 1805 U.S. 281 North in Marble Falls, (830) 693-4373 with the Rev. Max Copeland officiating.
Interment will follow at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park.
