Clement ‘Tim’ Beal Thames Jr.
Clement “Tim” Beal Thames Jr., 79, of Marble Falls died Aug. 22, 2010. Born March 29, 1931, in Hearne, he was the son of Clement Beal Thames Sr. and Elsie (Ely) Thames.
He served in the Marines for two years and was a retired geologist and retired attorney. He was a member of the Elks Club and several geology societies.
Survivors include his wife Sue Grenwelge Thames of Marble Falls; sons Joseph Thames of Littleton, Colo., and William Thames of Las Vegas; daughters Lisa Ann Moon and husband Tim of Hillsboro, Ore., and Katherine Thames of Binghamton, N.Y.; grandchildren Matthew Thames, Kara Thames and Samuel Tumblin; sister Elsa Sanders of Waco; stepdaughter Marsha Thompson of St. Cloud, Minn.; stepsons Dale Myrom of Morehead, Minn., Dirk Grenwelge and wife Lucy of Marble Falls and Randy Grenwelge and wife Lisa of Gause; and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife Dolores in 1993.
A graveside service is 1 p.m. Aug. 28 at Norwood Cemetery in Hearne.
