Doris Shackelford Munselle
Doris Shackelford Munselle, 77, of Kingsland died July 13, 2010. She was born to Ben and Bessie Shackelford at Ben Wheeler Aug. 4, 1932.
She was personnel director for Montgomery Ward in Austin for many years and was also employed by the Hays Independent School District at San Marcos and Buda. She was dearly loved by her family and returned that love in so very many ways. She was a wonderful mother and “Mimi” to them.
Survivors include her daughter Barbara Ormand and husband Bill; son Steve Munselle and wife Julie; grandsons Brad of California, Blake, Alonna, Brent and Milissa, all of Austin, Steven of Galveston, Eric and wife Rebecca, in the Navy; granddaughter April Munselle; brothers Joe Shackelford, and Al and wife Jan Shackelford of Austin; sister Wanda Kramer and husband Leonard Kramer of Kingsland; and many other family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Charles Ray Munselle; and brothers Guy Shackelford and Bob Shackelford and wife Lolita.
A memorial service is 1 p.m. Aug. 7 at the Driftwood Community Center at FM 150 and CR 170, also known as Elder Hill Road, behind the Driftwood Methodist Church.
Driftwood is located just outside of Dripping Springs.
