Judith "Judy" Ann Lyda, 62, died July 15, 2010, at her home in The Dalles, Ore.

She was born Aug. 26, 1947, and was raised in the Hood River, Ore., area.

She was a great friend to those who had the honor of knowing her. She was a very happy, loving and outgoing lady who loved her life and those she had in it. She was a very positive, strong individual who had many passions.

She loved canning, gardening, hunting mushrooms, all animals and most of the outdoors.

She had many friends from her time working at Walmart, K-Mart and the Hood River Railroad. She loved her dog DeeDee and cat Corny, as well as her close friend Jeannette Cochran and her children.

She found her soul mate, the love of her life and her best friend when she met Bobby Ray Roberts. They shared almost 30 years. Some of their most cherished memories included hunting and fishing trips. They loved camping and floating down The Deschutes River just for relaxation.

Survivors include relatives Beverly Farmer Clement of Pleasanton, William Farmer of New Braunfels, Darlene Farmer Oostermeyer of Marble Falls, Jane Lyda Gatwood of Kemp, Leonard Lyda of Arkansas and LaNelle Lyda of Colorado.

She was preceded in death by Roberts on April 16, 2007;  paternal grandparents William Angus and Leona Whitman Lyda of Marble Falls; father Whitman Angus Lyda in 1968; mother Dixie Miller Lyda in 1995; and her only sibling Joseph Lloyd Lyda in 1991.

A graveside service is 2 p.m. July 27 at the Pine Grove Cemetery, Hood River.   Services will be led by her family and friends.
