Bryon Wilson Story, 32, died July 17, 2010, in Austin. He was born Nov. 22, 1977, in Corpus Christi and was orphaned at 4 when his mother was killed in an auto accident.

He was adopted and raised by his maternal grandparents, Winford and Bessie Story.

He was active in the Boy Scouts, the youth group of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church and various sports. He was a lover of animals. He enjoyed camping, fishing, water activities and the beaches of Padre Island.

He was very interested in nature, history, archaeology, music and art.

He served a tour of duty in the Army in the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Ky., and a second tour as a veterinary technician stationed at Whidbey Island, Wash.

Later in life and at the time of his death, he worked with an animal rescue service helping to find homes for abandoned animals.

Survivors include his wife Samantha Story; grandmother; and aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by mother Paulynn Kobeissi; grandfather Winford Story; and uncle Byron Story.

A memorial service is 11 a.m. July 21 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 1803 RR 1431 West in Marble Falls, with the Rev. Danielle Casey officiating.

Memorials can be made to a local animal shelter.
