Judy Hunziker Stanford
Judy Hunziker Stanford, 90, died June 18, 2010. She was born in Burnet County on March 14, 1920, where she was raised.
She loved her church and church family and she always believed in the Bible.
She left Burnet to go to work at the State School in Austin until she retired in 1976.
She loved working in her yard with her beautiful flowers. She also loved her best friend and cousin, Edna Hunziker Montgomery.
Survivors include her sons Wendell Stanford and wife Barbara and Mike Stanford and wife Marilyn; nephews Tim Hunziker and wife Beth and Ronnie Hunziker and wife Ruth; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Betsy Hunziker; brothers Bart, L.B. and George Hunziker; sister-in-law Mary Hunziker; and husband Walt.
A funeral service was June 21 at the Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 306 E. Polk St. in Burnet with the Rev. James East officiating.
Interment followed at Post Mountain Cemetery.
Pallbearers included John Bell, T.J. Hunziker, Russell Montgomery, Curtis Montgomery, Don Hunziker, Dorman Hunziker, Wendell Stanford and Mike Stanford.
Honorary pallbearers were Tim Hunziker, Ronnie Hunziker, Darrell Hunziker, Craig Stanford, Philip Stanford and Casey Bunce.
