Ruth Kizer Pence

Ruth Kizer Pence, 74, died June 11, 2010, in her Sandy Harbor home. She was born in San Antonio Oct. 15, 1935.
She lived in Orange and then moved to Austin, where she spent most of her life. She graduated from Austin High School in 1952, then raised a family.
She was an avid painter, a dedicated crafter and had a lifelong love of golf and gardening. She worked in the banking industry, and later in life was employed by a Llano newspaper.
She faced life with a fearless spunk and always did exactly what she wanted.
Survivors include husband Clint; children Jill Kizer Adams and husband Chip, Ginny Kizer-Vercher and husband James and Jamie Kizer and wife Shelley; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sisters Sally Ward of Houston and Susan Edgar of Copperas Cove.
A graveside service is 10 a.m. June 17 at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 11463 Texas 195 in Killeen.
