Peter Cobb Mills

Peter Cobb Mills, 69, of Liberty Hill died June 12, 2010. He was born Sept. 29, 1940, in Long Island City, New York, in the same home where his 90-year-old mother still lives.
He was the son of George Celander Mills, a civil engineer, and Mildred Cobb, a devoted wife and mother.
He was an IT project manager for most of his life. After college, he landed a job with American Airlines where he met his wife Cookie. That was the beginning of a 21-year career that included traveling all over the world making lifelong friends.
His love of planes gave way to a private collection of jet pictures shared with numerous friends and collectors worldwide. He, his wife and father in-law Luis Caprarella moved to Liberty Hill in August 2006 after he retired from an 18-year career with Direct TV in California.
He enjoyed saltwater fishing, gardening and bowling.
The love of God was always in his heart and he shared it with everyone. He put God, country, family and friends above all else. He will be profoundly missed.
In addition to his wife of 28 years, his mother and his father-in-law, survivors include sister Barbara Benkert of Atlanta; nieces Diana Pisaneschi of Kentucky and Jean Rodrigo of Georgia; grandniece and grandnephew Jessica and Joseph Rodrigo; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
