Drucilla Mary Franger Oefinger
Drucilla Mary Franger Oefinger, 80, of Sunrise Beach and San Antonio died June 5, 2010, in San Antonio.
She was born Sept. 28, 1929, in San Antonio to the late Martin M. and Rose L. Gerdes Franger.
She was a graduate of Brackenridge High School and Our Lady of the Lake University, both in San Antonio. She retired after 30 years as a schoolteacher.
Her strong Catholic faith supported her as she battled multiple diseases, including pulmonary fibrosis.
Survivors include children Dr. Paul E. Oefinger Jr. and wife Diane of Greenwood, Ind., David M. Oefinger and wife Lila of Dallas, Evelyn Oefinger of San Antonio and Emilie Oefinger Rogers of Boerne; grandchildren Melissa Weseli and husband Dean, Tara Oefinger, Rebecca Rogers and Christopher Rogers.
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Ernest Oefinger and an infant sister, Shirley Mae Franger.
Visitation was June 8 at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home in Castroville. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. June 9 at St. Louis Catholic Church at Castroville. Interment will follow at the Hondo Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the American Diabetes Association.
