Lillie Craven

Lillie Craven, 79, of Llano died May 24, 2010. She was born to Essie (Tyler) and Charles Justis in Melvin July 24, 1930.
She married Nellum Leon Craven June 29, 1946, in San Saba.
She was a member of the Pittsburg Avenue Baptist Church and a local business owner. She operated a local gathering place for youth called “Teen Haven” in the 1960s and opened the Burger Bar Café in 1967.
Years later, she sold the Burger Bar and opened Lillie’s Antiques.
Survivors include sons Lonnie Craven and wife Joyce of Llano and Lowry Craven and wife Lisa of White Oak; brothers Charles Justis Jr. and wife Bettye of Bastrop, and Jackie Justis and wife Karla of Llano; grandchildren Dana, Jana, Tye, Madlyn, Clay and Natalie; great-grandchildren Tyler, Sierra and Trevor; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Nellum Leon Craven on Nov. 13, 2006.
A funeral service is 2 p.m. May 27 at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home chapel, 307 E. Sandstone in Llano, (325) 247-4300 with the reverends Gerald Moore and Danny Meegan officiating.
Burial will follow at Llano City Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Chuck Beardon, Ricky McDermott, Clay Craven, Byron Reno, Steve Landers and Doug Gillow.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
