Ruth Hattie Tuckness
Ruth Hattie Tuckness, 77, of Llano died May 22, 2010. She was born April 21, 1933, to Hattie (Kothe) and Henry Hohmann of Fredericksburg.
She married Wilford Tuckness Oct. 6, 1957, in Fredericksburg. She was a member of Lutie Watkins Memorial United Methodist Church of Llano.
Family members said she loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a rancher and had a love for animals.
In addition to her husband, survivors include her daughter Kay Schmidt of Llano; sister Nell Bauman of Valley Spring; grandchildren Roper Mikulenka and wife Lindsey of Fort Polk, La., and Maranda Mikulenka of Llano; and great-grandchildren Rylee Busby and Reagan Mikulenka.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son; and sister Dorothy Epperson.
A funeral service is 2 p.m. May 25 at the Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home Chapel, 307 E. Sandstone in Llano, (325) 247-4300.
Pallbearers include Jonathan Long, Bill Tuckness, Ricky Bauman, Tommy Epperson, Roper Mikulenka and Dale Bauman.
Honorary pallbearers are her nieces and nephews.
Burial will follow at Llano City Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, West Texas Boys Ranch or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
