Frank Grant McPherson, 46, of Burnet died May 23, 2010. He was born Sept. 15, 1963, in Balston Spa, New York, to Emmit Jackson McPherson and Patricia (Hubbard) McPherson.

He was a construction supervisor who enjoyed his ranch in San Saba at Richland Springs. He was a 1982 graduate of Burnet High School and liked to hunt and fish.

He was a loyal friend and a kind and caring person who always had a place in his heart for others. He was a great father and uncle.

At the age of 4, he learned to sing “Oh My Darling Clementine."

When he put on his life jacket and came swimming across the lake singing, the family knew it was time to get up.

He was a big fan of the Burnet Bulldogs, The University of Texas Longhorns and the Dallas Cowboys.

Survivors include his son Shane McPherson of Liberty Hill and daughter Miranda McPherson of San Angelo; his mother of Burnet; his father of Llano; sisters Georgia Rose Griggs of Kingsland, Wanda Marie Sweeney and husband Bob of Connecticut, Faith Ann Ware and husband Kip of Bertram, and Bridgette Kathleen Fudge of Dallas; brother Brian Patrick McPherson and wife Donna of New Braunfels; numerous other family members; and his children’s mother Tamara Nelson.
