Wesley Clayton Chenault, 50, of Spicewood, died May 19, 2010. Born Feb. 4, 1960, in Lufkin, he was the son of James and Lois (Fitzgerald) Chenault.

He graduated from Bryan High School in 1978. In 1986 he graduated from the Travis County Sheriff’s Academy and was employed with the Department of Public Safety for 26 years.

He became a senior trooper in 1991.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending time outdoors. He loved his Lord, family and nature. He was devoted to his grandson and enjoyed spending time with him.

Survivors include his wife Kathryn Chenault of Spicewood; son Robert Wesley of Spicewood; daughter Amanda Lynn of Spicewood; grandson Brayden Wesley Chenault of Spicewood; parents; brother Duke Chenault and wife Mary of Bryan; five nephews; three nieces; and other relatives.

A visitation is 5-7 p.m. May 21 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 1805 U.S. 281 North in Marble Falls, (830) 693-4373.

A funeral service is 10 a.m. May 22 at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at the family ranch in Mason.

Pallbearers are Todd Ashby, Mark Atkins, Robert Jackson, Bill McLean, Tim Baker, Brian Baxter, Henry Duran and Warren Allen. Honorary pallbearers are Robert Chenault, Dusty Chenault, Robert Scifres, Justin Kurtz, Ryan Kurtz, John Ideus, Arlen Ideus, Clifton Sanderson and Ricky Sanderson.
